### Author Biography

Chris Offutt is the author of the short-story collections _Kentucky Straight_ and _Out of the Woods_, the novel _The Good Brother_, and three memoirs: _The Same River Twice_, _No Heroes_, and _My Father, the Pornographer_. His work has appeared in _Best American Short Stories_ and _Best American Essays_, among many other places. He has written screenplays for Weeds, True Blood, and Treme, and has received fellowships from the Lannan and Guggenheim foundations.
