### Author Biography

**Traci Sorell** (she/her) is a 2021-22 Tulsa Artist Fellow and the award-winning author of _We Are Grateful: Otsaliheliga_ (which was a Sibert, Orbis Pictus, _Boston Globe-Horn Book_, and American Indian Youth Literature Award honor book) and _At the Mountain's Base_ (an AIYLA Honor book), and co-writer of _Indian No More_, which won the AIYLA Middle Grade category. She is an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation and lives on her tribe's reservation in Oklahoma. Her 2021 nonfiction middle grade titles include _Classified: The Secret Career of Mary Golda Ross, Cherokee Aerospace Engineer_ and _We Are Still Here! Native American Truths Everyone Should Know_.
