### Author Biography

**Frank Viva** is an award-winning artist and designer who lives in Toronto, Ontario, with his family. Many decades ago he spent summers in Point Aconi, Nova Scotia, and while the story in this book is entirely fictional, Frank's memories of the place inspired it. Viva's other books include The New York Times Best Illustrated Children's Book selection _Along a Long Road_, the Parents' Choice Award winner _A Long Way Away_, and TOON's Cybils award-winning _A Trip to the Bottom of the World_. His art has appeared in many places, including regularly on the cover of the _New Yorker_.
