**Chris Raschka** received the Caldecott Medal for _The Hello, Goodbye Window_ (Hyperion) and most recently for _A Ball for Daisy_ (Schwartz & Wade). His other books include _Paul Writes (a Letter)_ (Eerdmans), _The Death of the Hat_ (Candlewick), and the Caldecott Honor-winning _Yo! Yes?_ (Scholastic). He has been hailed by _Publishers Weekly_ as one of the most original illustrators working today, and he continues to create stories and art that appeal to readers of all ages. He lives with his family in New York City.
