### Author Biography

**Jami Attenberg** is the author of a story collection, _Instant Love_, and four novels: _The Kept Man, The Melting Season_, and _The Middlesteins_, which was a finalist for the _Los Angeles Times_ Book Prize for Fiction, and _Saint Mazie_. She has contributed essays and criticism to the _New York Times, Real Simple, Elle,_ the _Washington Post_, and many other publications. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
