### Author Biography

**Lidia Yuknavitch** is the nationally bestselling author of the novels _Thrust_, _The Book of Joan_, _The Small Backs of Chil_­dren, and _Dora: A Headcase_, and of the memoir _The Chronology of Water_. She is the recipient of two Oregon Book Awards and has been a finalist for the Brooklyn Public Library Literary Prize and the PEN Center USA Award for creative nonfic­tion. She lives in Oregon.
