### Author Biography

**Ian Nathan**, who lives and works in London, is one of the UK's best-known film writers. He is the author of nine previous books, including _Alien Vault_, the best-selling history of Ridley Scott's masterpiece, _Terminator Vault_, _Tarantino, Tim Burton_, _The Coen Brothers_ and _Anything You Can Imagine: Peter Jackson and the Making of Middle-earth_. He is the former editor and executive editor of _Empire_, the world's biggest movie magazine, where he remains a contributing editor. He also regularly contributes to _The Times_, _The Independent_, _The Mail on Sunday_, _Cahiers Du Cinema_ and the _Discovering Film_ documentary series on Sky Arts.
