### Author Biography

Deanna Kizis (deannakizis.com) is a journalist, author, and screenwriter. She was the West Coast editor of _Elle_ magazine and a contributor at _Harper's Bazaar_, and her byline has appeared _Vanity Fair_, _People_, _Us_, _Details_, _Self_, _Glamour_, _Redbook_, _Allure_, _Cosmopolitan_, _Entertainment Weekly_, _Nylon_, and many others. She's also penned screenplays for ABC, MTV, Sony and Paramount. _Please Don't Read This Book!_ is her first children's book. Deanna lives in Los Angeles, California, and loves her dog, her kid, her cat, burritos, and gardening, but definitely not in that order. (Hint: She really loves her kid. And burritos.
