### Author Biography

**Peter Pennoyer** heads Peter Pennoyer Architects, a 50-person firm of architects, interior designers, and related professionals based in Manhattan and with an office in Miami. Founded in 1990, PPA is recognized as a leader in new construction, renovation, and historic preservation for residential, commercial, and institutional commissions across the United States and abroad. Pennoyer lives in New York City and Millbrook, New York.  
Architectural historian **Anne Walker** holds a master's degree in historic preservation from Columbia University and is the author of numerous books on historical and contemporary architecture and design, including _Peter Pennoyer Architects: Apartments, Townhouses, Country Houses_; _A House in the Country_; _Life at the Top: New York's Most Exceptional Apartment Buildings_; and _Rowdy Meadow: House - Land - Art_. She is an adjunct professor at New York University, where she teaches with Pennoyer. She lives in New Canaan, Connecticut.  
Architecture and interiors photographer **Eric Piasecki** contributes regularly to _Elle Decor_, _Architectural Digest_, and _House Beautiful_, among other publications nationally and internationally. His books include _Peter Pennoyer Architects: Apartments, Townhouses, Country Houses_; _Katie Ridder: Rooms_; _Katie Ridder: More Rooms_; _A House in the Country_; and _Rowdy Meadow: House - Land - Art_.
