### Author Biography

Teresa Peterson, _Utuhu Cistinna Win,_ is Sisseton Wahpeton Dakota and citizen of the Upper Sioux Community. She is author, with her uncle Walter LaBatte Jr., of _Voices from Pejuhutazizi: Dakota Stories and Storytellers_. She is also author of the children's book _Grasshopper Girl_ and a contributor to _Voices Rising: Native Women Writers_.
