### Author Biography

**Rick Riordan**, dubbed "storyteller of the gods" by_Publishers Weekly_, is the author of five #1 _New York Times_ best-selling middle grade series with millions of copies sold throughout the world: Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Heroes of Olympus, and the Trials of Apollo, based on Greek and Roman mythology; the Kane Chronicles, based on ancient Egyptian mythology; and Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, based on Norse mythology. Rick cowrote and produced an 8-episode series based on the first Percy Jackson book, _The Lightning Thief,_ for Disney+. He is also the publisher of an imprint at Disney-Hyperion, Rick Riordan Presents, dedicated to finding other authors of highly entertaining fiction based on world cultures and mythologies. His most recent novels are _The Sun and the Star: A Nico di Angelo Adventure_, which he cowrote with awarding-winning author Mark Oshiro, and _Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Chalice of the Gods_.
