### Author Biography

Born in New York and now based in sunny California, **Heather Alexande**r is the author of numerous books for children, both fiction and nonfiction, including _Only In America_, _Eat Bugs: Project Startup_, _A Child's Introduction to the Nutcracker_, _A Child's Introduction to Egyptology_, and the _Wallace and Grace_ early chapter book series. **Joseph Moffat-Pena** is a children's book author and illustrator based in Oregon City, Oregon. From a young age, Joseph has shown a keen interest in drawing. Some of his early inspirations include Ed Emberly, Genndy Tartakovsky, and Dr. Seuss. While Joseph primarily works digitally, he also enjoys experimenting with various traditional drawing and painting methods. All of his digital brushes and textures have been carefully created traditionally first. Aside from illustrating, Joseph enjoys exploring trails with his wife and two dogs, listening to and playing music, and going out to the movies.
