**Sherry Buchanan** is the author of several books, including _Tran Trung Tin: Paintings and Poems from Vietnam_, _Vietnam Zippos: American Soldiers' Engravings & Stories_, _Mekong Diaries: Viet Cong Drawings and Stories_, and _Vietnam Posters_. She is a journalist who served as an editor and columnist with the _Wall Street Journal_ and the _International Herald Tribune_.
