**Steve Hockensmith** is both a _New York Times_ bestselling author (for _Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls_) and a Best First Novel Edgar Award nominee (for his mystery _Holmes on the Range_). He has two young children and lives near San Francisco.
