**Tami Charles** is the author of the critically acclaimed _Freedom Soup_, illustrated by Jacqueline Alcántara, as well as numerous other picture books and novels for children and young adults, including _All Because You Matter_, illustrated by Bryan Collier. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and son.

**Sara Palacios** has illustrated numerous picture books, including _Between Us and Abuela: A Family Story from the Border_ by Mitali Perkins, and many others. She divides her time between San Francisco and Mexico City.
