### Author Biography

**John Warner** is a writer, speaker, researcher, and consultant. The former editor of _McSweeney's Internet Tendency_, he is the author of the books _Why They Can't Write_ and _The Writer's Practice_. As "the Biblioracle," Warner is a weekly columnist at the _Chicago Tribune_ and writes the newsletter _The Biblioracle Recommends_. He is affiliate faculty at the College of Charleston and lives in Folly Beach, South Carolina.
