### Author Biography

**Sarah Crossan** is the author of young adult novels _One_, winner of the Carnegie Medal, _Apple and Rain_ and _The Weight of Water_, both short-listed, _Moonrise_, _Being Toffee_, _Breathe,_ and _Resist_, as well as _Here is the Beehive_, a novel for adults. She grew up in Ireland and England, taught English in the United States and continues to promote creative writing in schools, and now lives in Hertfordshire. She is the current Laureate na nÓg (Children's Laureate) of Ireland.
