**Daisy Hirst** is the author-illustrator of _The Girl with the Parrot on Her Head_, _Hilda and the Runaway Baby,_ _Hamish Takes the Train,_ and _I Like Trains,_ as well as three picture books about monster siblings Natalie and Alphonse. She received an MA in children's book illustration from the Cambridge School of Art. Daisy Hirst lives in Cambridge, England.
