### Author Biography

Wendy A. Horwitz's essays have been published in _The Philadelphia Inquirer_, _Afterimage_, _Neurology_ (Humanities Section), _Jewish Literary Journal_, _Intrepid Times_, and _McClatchy-Tribune News Service_, among others. Originally trained as a pediatric psychologist, she lives in Philadelphia, where she teaches writing and health humanities.
