Pedro Martín is the Newbery Honor Award, Pura Belpre Author and Illustrator award-winning creator of the graphic memoir _Mexikid_, based off his online comic series of the same name. _Mexikid_ has landed on many end of the year best-of lists, including _The New York Times Book Review,_ NPR_, Kirkus Reviews, Publishers Weekly, School Library Journal,_ and _Booklist._ Pedro is a former Hallmark artist who lives with his wife in Kansas City.
