### Author Biography

Amber McBride's debut young adult novel, _Me (Moth)_, was a finalist for the National Book Awards and won the 2022 Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe Award for New Talent, among many other accolades. Her second young adult novel, _We Are All So Good at Smiling_, was a _School Library Journal_ Best Book of the Year, and praised for offering "important messages, uniquely delivered" by _Kirkus_ in a starred review. _Gone Wolf,_ Amber McBride's middle grade fiction debut, was awarded the _Los Angeles Times_ Book Prize and was named a Best Book of the Year by _Publishers Weekly_ and _Kirkus Reviews_. She lives in Charlottesville, Virginia.
