### Author Biography

In addition to _Max's Words_, **Kate Banks** and **Boris** **Kulikov** have collaborated on _The Eraserheads_ and the sequel to _Max's Words_, _Max's Dragon_. Ms. Banks has written many other books for young readers, including _And If the Moon Could Talk_, winner of the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award, and _The Night Worker_, winner of the Charlotte Zolotow Award. She lives in the South of France. Mr. Kulikov has illustrated a number of books for children and lives in Brooklyn, New York.
