### Author Biography

Emma Otheguy is the author of several books for young readers, including the picture books _A Sled for Gabo_ and _Martina Has Too Many Tías_, the bilingual picture book _Martí's Song for Freedom,_ and the middle grade novels _Sofía Acosta Makes a Scene_, _Silver Meadows Summer_, and, with Adam Gidwitz, _The Madre de Aguas of Cuba_, part of the Unicorn Rescue Society series. Sara Palacios is the recipient of a Pura Belpré Illustrator Honor for _Marisol McDonald Doesn't Match_ and the illustrator of several other picture books, including _A Song of Frutas_, _The Flying Girl_, and _Martina Has Too Many Tías._ Sara graduated with a degree in graphic design and went on to earn BFA and MFA degrees in illustration from the Academy of Art in San Francisco.
