Jennifer Egan is the author of six previous books of fiction: _Manhattan Beach_, winner of the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction; _A Visit from the Goon Squad_, which won the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award; _The Keep_; the story collection _Emerald City_; _Look at Me_, a National Book Award Finalist; and _The Invisible Circus_.
