### Author Biography

**S.T. Joshi** (foreword) is a leading authority on H.P. Lovecraft, as well as other writers mostly in the realms of supernatural and fantasy fiction. He is the author of _The Weird Tale_ (1990), _The Modern Weird Tale_ (2001), and _Unutterable Horror: A History of Supernatural Fiction_ (2012). His award-winning biography _H. P. Lovecraft: A Life_ (1996) was later expanded as _I Am Providence: The Life and Times of H. P. Lovecraft_ (2010).
