### Author Biography

**Antoine de Saint-Exupéry** was born in Lyon, France, in 1900. A pioneer of aviation, he flew in the Spanish Civil War and World War II. His writings include _The Little Prince;__Wind, Sand and Stars; Night Flight; Southern Mail;_ and _Airman's Odyssey_. In 1944, while flying a mission for his French air squadron, he disappeared over the Mediterranean.
