### Author Biography

**Caitlin Horrocks** is the author of the story collection _This Is Not Your City_ and the novel _The Vexations_, a _Wall Street Journal_ Top Ten Book of the Year. She is a recipient of the O. Henry Prize, the Pushcart Prize, and the Plimpton Prize. Her fiction has appeared in _The New Yorker_, _The Atlantic_, _The Paris Review, Tin House_, and _One Story,_ among other magazines, and has been reprinted in _The Best American Short Stories_. She lives with her family in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
