### Author Biography

**Matt de la Peña** is the Newbery Medal-winning author of _Last Stop on Market Street_. He is also the author of the award-winning picture books _Carmela Full of Wishes_, _Love_, and _A Nation's Hope: The Story of Boxing Legend Joe Louis_, and seven critically acclaimed young adult novels. **Christian Robinson** received a Caldecott Honor and a Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor for his art in _Last Stop on Market Street_.
