### Author Biography

**Cheryl B. Klein** is the author of the picture books _A Year of Everyday Wonders_ (illustrated by Qin Leng), _Wings_ (illustrated by Tomie dePaola), _Thunder Trucks_ (written with Katy Beebe, illustrated by Mike Boldt), and _Hamsters Make Terrible Roommates_ (illustrated by Abhi Alwar), as well as the adult nonfiction book _The Magic Words: Writing Great Books for Children and Young Adults_. She grew up in a small town called Peculiar, Missouri, and now lives in Brooklyn, New York, where she works as an editor of children's and young adult books. **Juana Medina** is the Pura Belpré Award-winning creator of the chapter book series Juana & Lucas, as well as the I Will! series, and _Elena Rides_. She has illustrated numerous picture books, including _Lena's Shoes Are Nervous_, _'Twas the Night Before Pride_, and _Star of the Party_. Juana teaches at George Mason University, and lives in Northern Virginia with her wife, twin sons, and dog.
