### Author Biography

Anand Teltumbde is a leading public intellectual, author and civil rights activist. He's also regarded as one of the foremost authorities on Ambedkar and the Dalit movement in India. A polymath, his scholarship ranges from socio-political analysis to big data analytics.

Among his significant books are _The Radical in Ambedkar_ (ed., 2018), _The Republic of Caste_ (2018), _Dalits: Past, Present and Future_ (2016), _Mahad: The Making of the First Dalit Revolt_ (2016), _The Persistence of Caste_ (2010), and _Khairlanji: A Strange and Bitter Crop_ (2008). Teltumbde regularly contributed to _Mainstream_, _Frontier_, _Seminar_ and most leading English newspapers and wrote _Margin Speak_, one of the longest running columns in the _Economic & Political Weekly._ He held top management positions in his corporate career and taught at IIT, Kharagpur and Goa Institute of Management Business Management and Big Data Analytics respectively.
