THOMAS À KEMPIS (1380-1470) was born in Cologne, Germany to pious parents. His most famous work was _The Imitation of Christ_. He had a great devotion to the Blessed Mother. Thomas later joined the Canons Regular at Mount St. Agnes as a religious priest.
