LYNETTE RICE has covered the entertainment industry for twenty-five years. She's currently an editor-at-large at _Entertainment Weekly_ and was the only journalist to secure an exclusive interview with Patrick Dempsey after his 2015 departure from _Grey's Anatomy_. She previously wrote about the TV industry for _The Hollywood Reporter_. A native of Redlands, California, _How to Save a Life_ is her first book. She lives in Sherman Oaks, California.
