### Author Biography

**Pamela Paul** is the editor of _The New York Times__Book Review_ and oversees books coverage at _The New York Times,_ which she joined in 2011 as the children's books editor. She is also the host of the weekly Book Review podcast for the _Times._ She is the author and editor of five books: _My Life with Bob: Flawed Heroine Keeps Book of Books, Plot Ensues, The Starter Marriage and the Future of Matrimony, Pornified, Parenting, Inc.,_ and _By the Book._ She is a former columnist for _The Economist, Worth,_ and _The New York Times_ Styles section. Her work has also appeared in _The Atlantic_, _The Washington Post, Slate_, _Vogue, Psychology Today, Brown Alumni Magazine,_ and other national publications. She lives with her husband and three children in New York.

**Maria Russo** is the children's books editor of _The New York Times__Book Review_. She has been a writer and editor at the _Los Angeles Times, The New York Observer,_ and _Salon_, and holds a Ph.D. in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University. She lives in Montclair, New Jersey, with her husband and three children.
