**Cindy Derby** is the author-illustrator of _Two Many Birds_ and _How to Walk Like an Ant_ and the illustrator of _The Boy and the Gorilla_ by Jackie Azúa Kramer, _Outside In_ by Deborah Underwood, and other acclaimed picture books. She lives in San Francisco.
