### Author Biography

Jennifer Ward has written numerous award-winning picture books, including _Just You and Me_, illustrated by Alexander Vidal; _How to Find a Bird_, illustrated by Diana Sudyka; _Round_, illustrated by Lisa Congdon; and _Mama Built a Little Nest_ and _Mama Dug a Little Den_, both illustrated by Steve Jenkins. A former elementary educator, Jennifer Ward is an experienced public speaker who travels the country, speaking in schools and at international and national writer and literacy conferences. Diana Sudyka is a Chicago-based illustrator. Early on, she created screen-printed gig posters for musicians but currently her illustration work focuses on young adult, middle grade, and children's books. She has illustrated several volumes of the award-winning book series The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart and _Circus Mirandus_ by Cassie Beasley, as well as the picture books _Would You Come Too?_ by Liz Garton Scanlon, _Sometimes Rain_ by Meg Fleming, _What Miss Mitchell Saw_ by Hayley Barrett, _How to Find a Bird_ by Jennifer Ward, and _Fungi Grow_ by Maria Gianferrari.
