### Author Biography

**Ralf Georg Reuth i**s a German journalist and historian. He has written major biographies of Hitler, Goebbels, and Rommel, along with several books on German history, including _Rommel: The End of a Legend_. **Peter Lewis** is a freelance translator and author. His recent translations include Asfa-Wossen Asserate's _King of Kings: The Triumph and Tragedy of Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia_; Johannes Fried's _Charlemagne: A Biography_; Dierk Walter's _Colonial Violence_; and Gunnar Decker's _Hesse: The Wanderer and His Shadow_.
