### Author Biography

Susan Verde's first picture book, _The Museum_, illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds, was a Bank Street Best Book of the Year. _Booklist_ praised, "The rhymed text captures the excitement of a being sparked by art." Her other books include _You and Me_, _I Am_ _Yoga_, _The Water Princess_, and _I Am Peace_, all illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds; as well as _Rock 'n' Roll Soul_, illustrated by Caldecott Medalist Matthew Cordell; _My Kicks,_ illustrated by Katie Kath; and _Hey, Wall,_ illustrated by John Parra_._ Susan is a former elementary school teacher with a Master's degree in reading remediation.
