### Author Biography

An award-winning documentary filmmaker, **Sooyong Park** has devoted over twenty years to studying and filming Siberian tigers. A film about him, _Siberian Tiger Quest,_ aired on PBS and won Best Cinematography (a tie) at the 2013 International Wildlife Film Festival. He lives in Seoul, Korea.

**John Vaillant's** work has appeared in _The New Yorker, The Atlantic_, and _National Geographic_ among other magazines. His books, _The Tiger_ and _The Golden Spruce_, were international bestsellers. His most recent book, _The Jaguar's Children_ is his first novel. He lives in Vancouver.
