### Author Biography

**Chitra Soundar** is an Indian-born British writer and storyteller. She is the author of over forty books for children, including the award-winning picture books _You're Safe With Me_, _You're Snug With Me_, and _You're Strong With Me_, illustrated by Poonam Mistry. Chitra has lived in more than three countries and has published in Asia, North America and Europe. As well as writing books, she is a speaker, oral storyteller and toe-dipper in writing for the small screen. Her stories are inspired by her close-knit family, her growing up in India filled with epics and folktales, playacting and her travels around the world.

**Amberin Huq** is an illustration graduate from University College Falmouth. She dreams of a studio in a peaceful place by the sea, but for now, she lives and works under a massive heap of paper in her London studio. Amberin loves to create atmospheric illustrations, lively characters and has a newfound love of working in black and white. She has illustrated books for children of all ages.
