### Author Biography

Writer **Grant Morrison** is known for his innovative work on comics from the graphic novel _Arkham Asylum_ to acclaimed runs on _Animal Man_ and _Doom Patrol_, as well as his subversive creator-owned titles such as _The Invisibles, Seaguy,_ and _WE3_. Grant has also written best-selling runs on _JLA_, _Seven Soldiers of Victory,_ and _New X-Men,_ and helped to reinvent the DC Universe in _The Multiversity, All Star Superman, 52, Batman, Batman & Robin_ and _Batman, Inc_.

**Geoff Johns** is an award-winning writer and one of the most popular contemporary comic book writers today. Johns is the author of the _New York Times_ best-selling graphic novels _Aquaman: The Trench, Blackest Night, Green Lantern: The Sinestro Corps War, Justice League: Origin, Superman: Brainiac_ and _Batman: Earth One_ which hit number one on the bestseller list. He is also known for transforming Green Lantern into one of the most critically and commercially successful franchises in comics. Johns has written for various other media, including episodes of _Smallville, Arrow,_ and Adult Swim's _Robot Chicken_, for which he was nominated along with his co-writers for an Emmy. He is the Chief Creative Officer of DC Entertainment and resides in Los Angeles, California.

**George Pérez** started drawing at the age of five and hasn't stopped since. Born on June 9, 1954, Pérez began his professional comics career as an assistant to Rich Buckler in 1973. After establishing himself as a penciller at Marvel Comics, Pérez came to DC in 1980, bringing his highly detailed art style to such titles as _Justice League of America_ and _Firestorm_. After co-creating _The New Teen Titans_ in 1980, Pérez and writer Marv Wolfman reunited for the landmark miniseries _Crisis On Infinite Earths_ in 1985. In the aftermath of that universe-smashing event, Pérez revitalized _Wonder Woman_ as the series' writer and artist, reestablishing her as one of DC's preeminent characters and bringing in some of the best sales the title has ever experienced. He has since gone on to illustrate celebrated runs on Marvel's _The Avengers, CrossGen's Solus_, and DC's _The Brave and the Bold_.

Born in 1963 in the Year of the Rabbit, **Doug Mahnke** embarked on a love affair with comics at the age of five. He landed a job drawing comics for Dark Horse at the age of 24. Doug and writer John Arcudi collaborated on Dark Horse's _The Mask_ and their creator-owned series _Major Bummer_, originally published by DC. Since then Doug has worked on a wide variety of titles (including _Superman: The Man Of Steel, JLA, Batman, Team Zero, Seven Soldiers: Frankenstein, Black Adam: The Dark Age_ and _Stormwatch: P.H.D._) with such writers as Joe Kelly, Judd Winick, Chuck Dixon, Grant Morrison, Christos Gage and Ed Brubaker, just to name a few. He lives in the midwest with his wife and six kids, one dog, and a bunny named Suzie.
