# Fellstones - Hardcover

by **Ramsey Campbell** (Author)

**"Campbell has mastered the art of generating a sense of sustained unease." _The Washington Post_. A new masterpiece from the master of suspense.**

Fellstones takes its name from seven objects on the village green. It's where Paul Dunstan was adopted by the Staveleys after his parents died in an accident for which he blames himself. The way the Staveleys tried to control him made him move away and change his name. Why were they obsessed with a strange song he seemed to have made up as a child?

Now their daughter Adele has found him. By the time he discovers the cosmic truth about the stones, he may be trapped. There are other dark secrets he'll discover, and memories to confront. The Fellstones dream, but they're about to waken.

### Author Biography

**Ramsey Campbell** was born in Liverpool in 1946 and now lives in Wallasey. He has received the Grand Master Award of the World Horror Convention, the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Horror Writers Association, the Living Legend Award of the International Horror Guild and the World Fantasy Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2015 he was made an Honorary Fellow of Liverpool John Moores University for outstanding services to literature.

His first book was published by the legendary Arkham House when he was eighteen years old. His later work draws on the British and American traditions of horror fiction. It ranges from the psychological to the ghostly, the subtly uncanny to the cosmic, the quietly disquieting to the terrifying, the poignant to the darkly comic. His Flame Tree books include _Thirteen Days by Sunset Beach_, in which a family on holiday encounters an ancient horror on a Greek island, and _Think Yourself Lucky_, where the internet lets loose the monsters lurking within people just like us. In _Somebody's Voice_ a writer finds his memory and personality threatened by trying to write the memoir of a victim of abuse. The _Three Births of Daoloth_ trilogy - _The Searching Dead_, _Born to the Dark_ and _The Way of the Worm_ - pits three childhood friends against a terror as vast as time and space.

Three of Campbell's novels have been filmed - _The Influence_ (available from FLAME TREE PRESS), _Pact of the Fathers_ and _The Nameless_ (in development as a Netflix series). He reviewed films for the local BBC for nearly forty years, and is presently working on an appreciation of the Three Stooges, _Six Stooges and Counting_. A new supernatural novel, _Fellstones_, is in progress too.
