### Author Biography

Alice Hoffman is the author of more than thirty works of fiction, including _The Book of Magic_, _Magic Lessons_, _The World That We Knew_, _Practical Magic_, _The Rules of Magic_ (a Reese Witherspoon Book Club Pick), the Oprah's Book Club Selection _Here on Earth_, _The Red Garden_, _The Dovekeepers_, _The Museum of Extraordinary Things_, _The Marriage of Opposites_, and _Faithful_. She lives near Boston.

Lisa Hoffman, knitwear designer and knitting teacher, lives in New York City with her husband, Andrew. She has three grown children living near and far. Lisa Hoffman's designs have been published in _Vogue Knitting_, _Interweave Knits_, and _Knitwear Magazines_. She has designed projects for Artyarns, Be Sweet, Blue Sky Alpaca, June Cashmere, Long Island Livestock, Tahki Stacy Charles, Vijay Fibers, and others.
