**Steven Johnson** is the bestselling author of thirteen books, including _Where Good Ideas Come From_, _How We Got to Now_, _The Ghost Map_, and _Extra Life_. He's the host and cocreator of the Emmy-winning PBS/BBC series _How We Got to Now_, the host of the podcast _The TED Interview,_ and the author of the newsletter _Adjacent Possible_. He lives in Brooklyn, New York, and Marin County, California, with his wife and three sons.
