John Gierach is the author of more than twenty books about fly-fishing. His writing has appeared in _Field & Stream, Gray's Sporting Journal_, and _Fly Rod & Reel_. He writes a column for _Trout_ magazine and the monthly _Redstone Review_. He lives in Lyons, Colorado.
