### Author Biography

**Faïza Guène** is a bestselling and award-winning French Algerian writer and director. Spotted at a writing workshop at the age of eighteen, she made an astonishing literary debut with her international bestseller, _Kiffe-Kiffe Demain (Just Like Tomorrow)_, which sold over 250,000 copies and has been translated into more than thirty  
languages. Her other novels in English include _Dreams from the Endz, _Bar Balto_,_ and _Men  
Don't Cry__._ Guène has acquired a reputation as one of France's most unique contemporary literary voices. She has directed several short films and co-wrote Disney Star's hard-hitting drama _Oussekine._
