### Author Biography

Niven Govinden is the author of five previous novels, most recently _This Brutal House_, which was longlisted for the Jhalak Prize and shortlisted for the Polari and Gordon Burn Prizes. _Diary of a Film_ was published by the UK's Dialogue Books in 2021.
