### Author Biography

**Tom Gauld** is a cartoonist and illustrator. He has weekly comic strips in _The Guardian_ and _New Scientist_ and his comics have been published in _The New York Times_, _The Believer_ and on the cover of the _New Yorker_. In addition to his graphic novels _Baking with Kafka_, _Goliath_, _Mooncop_, and _You're All Just Jealous of My Jetpack_, he has designed a number of book covers. Gauld lives and works in London.
