### Author Biography

**Eric Redman** is a Seattle-based writer, lawyer, and climate activist who for decades has loved the Big Island of Hawaii, its history, and its people. He is a former contributing editor of _Rolling Stone_ and has written for the _New York Times_, _Washington Post_, and many other publications. He wrote the nonfiction best-seller _The Dance of Legislation_. His first work of detective fiction, _Bones of Hilo_, was an International Thriller Writers award finalist for Best First Novel; this is his second.
