### Author Biography

Cecil Castellucci is the author of books and graphic novels for young adults including _Boy Proof_, _The Plain Janes_, _First Day on Earth_, _The Year of the Beasts_, _Tin Star_, _Stone in the Sky_ and the Eisner nominated _Odd Duck_. Her picture book, _Grandma's Gloves_, won the California Book Award Gold Medal. Her short stories have been published in _Strange Horizons_, _YARN,_ Tor.com, and various anthologies including, _Teeth, After,_ and _Interfictions 2_. She is the Children's Correspondence Coordinator for _The Rumpus_, a two time Macdowell Fellow and the founding YA Editor at _The LA Review of Books_.

In addition to writing books, she writes plays, makes movies, does performance pieces, and still occasionally rocks out. Born in New York City to French Canadian parents, she is a citizen of both America and Canada. Currently, she lives in Los Angeles.
