### Author Biography

**Jean-Baptiste Phou** is a Chinese-Cambodian and French writer, actor, and artist. As an actor, he has performed in plays, musicals, films, and television in Cambodia, the United States, and France. He is based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. **Edward Gauvin** is a translator, writer, and independent scholar whose work has appeared in the _New York Times_, _Harper's_, _Guardian_, and _World Literature Today_. He is based in southern California.
